ADHD

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurobiological developmental disorder that, as we now know, affects not only children but can also persist into adulthood. Patients with ADHD experience difficulties primarily in the areas of attention, impulse control, and the regulation of activity and emotions. Many individuals with ADHD struggle to organize themselves, set priorities, start tasks, or complete them with focus. At the same time, they may experience inner restlessness, impulsive behavior, or significant mood swings.
ADHD often manifests differently in adults than in children: Inattention, feeling overwhelmed in daily life, forgetfulness, sensory overload, or chronic exhaustion are frequently the primary symptoms. Over time, many affected individuals develop additional issues such as anxiety, depression, or burnout.
The causes of ADHD are multifactorial and include genetic, neurobiological, and environmental influences.
A thorough diagnosis helps to classify the symptoms and develop individualized treatment options.
We would be happy to offer you an appointment at our ADHD specialty clinic and provide you with information about diagnostic and treatment options.
